Here’s an unspoken ritual that every boy has to go through to become a man.
To find his new identity as a man, not a boy, not a teen, not a youth.
To complete the ritual the boy needs to…
Betray his mother.
And breakaway from his loyalty toward her as the topmost woman in his life.
Now, how does this betrayal take place?
The boy has to move out; leave the protective wings of his mother
And find a woman of his age to love and to partner with
A woman who will overtake his own mother in the heirarchy of women in his life.
This ritual is usually an unconscious and natural process.

Next time you and your wife are hanging out with your mother,
Mention in your conversation a few times how much you love and adore your wife
Say she’s the most important woman to you and you’re so lucky you’ve met her.
If this makes you uncomfortable and you worry that you may hurt your mother’s feelings,
And you start coming up with logical reasons why you should not say all of this in your mother’s earshot,
You may have some work to do on displacing your mother as the queen of your life,
And placing your wife in her rightful place in the hierarchy of women in your world.
YOUR WIFE IS NOT YOUR PRINCESS!
She is your true queen and belongs in her rightful place by your side,
With all the privileges that the position of a queen carries.
