There are many ways in which cigarette smoke can impact your body.
But there are also things about smoking that seem positive to some smokers:
It helps them manage their weight and appetite,
Or cope with stress and anxiety.
Whatever the purpose for smoking, it is a habit.
And an action becomes a habit when it meets some of our core needs.
If smoking meets some of those core needs,
It will be very difficult to quit.
Or quit and not create another habit in its place,
Such as eating sugary foods when stressed or anxious.
For some, smoking is a habit they cannot dig themselves out of.
